This master thesis analyses the failure modes of multi-material joints between metal and composite. This special joint is the result of Mimosa Project, funded by the Horizon Europe Framework. Elena investigated the strain and stress fields associated to the interlocked interface between the two materials. 

"Classification and analysis of pores in laser powder bed fusion"

This work focuses on the detection and classification of pores observed in the additive manufacturing of metallic materials produced from AlSi10Mg powders using the L-PBF method, as well as the identification of pore clusters. For this purpose, CSV files generated from X-ray computed tomography (CT) scans of cylindrical specimens were analyzed.
